Led Zeppelin – Going to California Live

Not a massively huge song from the Zep, but this is one of our favourites here.  Parts of it thought to be written about Joni Mitchell, it takes you on a journey of the promise of California in the early 1970s.  This live performance sums up how incredible the band were at translating their studio sound to the big arena.  Pure genius.

The Great Bob Seger – Still the Same

First single to come from the legendary album Stranger in Town, ‘Still the Same’.  It reached No.4 on the US Billboard Chart in 1978.  The B-side was another great Seger track ‘Feels Like a Number’.

Seger is still recording and touring, but this song takes us back to a great period in rock music.

From the Archives – The Duprees – You Belong to Me

An oldie but a classic is this one.  Originally a hit for Jo Stafford way back in 1952, The Duprees made this all there own with a doo-wop style twist in 1962.  The song was also used in the popular US TV show Ally McBeal, although not the Duprees version unfortunately.
